First Class Design & Engineering

Our computerized operations allow us to design for maximum efficiency, long-life and service.

AgraCF&S Tanks provide years of economical storage because of their special design and construction. CF&S Tanks are designed by engineers with years of experience in devising storage tanks for all types of liquids and uses in the oil industry. Each tank is engineered and fabricated in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards covering material, dimensions and strengths. All steel sheets and plates conform to the specified gauge thickness.

Because of our computerized operations, tanks for special conditions such as heavy liquids, high wind factors, snow or seismic loadings can be designed for maximum efficiency, long-life and service. All tank parts are machine cut, formed and punched for uniformity and standardization. The words heard from people around the world who erect bolted tanks are "CF&S Tanks just fit up better!" In addition , CF&S Tanks are built to last. They are available with Trico-Bond 478, a two-component, spray-applied factory-baked epoxy that has excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of hydrocarbons, sour crude oils, brines, alkalis, hydrogen sulfide vapors and oilfield-produced water. Trico-bond 478 complies with the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a non-contaminating coating suitable for the storage of potable liquids.

Bolted Tanks

Bolted steel tanks provide safe, dependable and economical storage of liquid products. They are used for the storage of crude oil, drilling fluids, mud, waste water and distillates. They are preferred by the petroleum industry because, unlike most welded tanks, they are easy and inexpensive to erect.

Because no flame of any kind is required during erection operations, they can be erected without the danger of fire within the tank farm area.

Benefits of Bolted Tanks

  1. They can be built low and wide, high and narrow, or in any configuration necessary to meet specific capacity requirements.
  2. They can be installed on the ground, erected on elevated platforms or towers, or inside existing buildings.
  3. They have a flexible liquid-holding capacity; tank size can be increased or decreased by adding or removing a ring of body staves.
  4. They are precision fabricated, resulting in perfectly matched segments for safe, dependable storage.
  5. A damaged part can be easily removed and replaced.
  6. Factory-applied coatings are available to meet a variety of requirements.
  7. Inventory is readily available so that delivery is fast.
  8. The tanks are shipped in compact, manageable packages which reduce freight charges and allows easier handling on the job.
  9. Tank erection requires less field equipment and shorter turnaround labor, resulting in considerable cost savings in comparison to welded or concrete tanks.
  10. Dismantling for relocation is easy and much less expensive.
